Set the Darn GPS: If You Don’t Know Where You’re Going, You’ll End Up Everywhere.

Ever notice how we’ll spend hours comparing Airbnbs, planning excursions, and packing for a week-long vacation… but when it comes to planning the next year of our life, we’re like, “Eh, I’ll wing it”?

Here’s the thing: life isn’t a last-minute weekend getaway. It’s a cross-country road trip — and your vision is the GPS.

Without a clear destination, you’ll keep circling the same exits: overwork, burnout, and the “someday” loop.

And I see it all the time — especially with my real estate sisters and brothers. You’re slaying your deals, juggling clients, contracts, closings… but ask you what your life looks like a year from now, and you hesitate.

You’ve got the hustle down. But the direction? That’s where most people get lost.

The Pain of “Winging It”

When you don’t have a clear vision, life starts to run you.
You wake up to the same alarm, rush through the same routine, and collapse into bed thinking, “Wait… what did I even accomplish today?”

You tell yourself things will slow down next month. Or next quarter. Or after that one big project closes. But somehow, you blink, and another year’s gone by.

You’re productive — but not purposeful.
Busy — but not fulfilled.
It’s that Groundhog Day feeling: different deals, same stress.

And here’s the quiet cost:
You start saying yes to everything because you’re not sure what you really want.
You start tolerating things that drain you because you don’t know what to replace them with.
And slowly, you forget that you get to choose the life you’re living — not just react to it.

Lisa’s Story

One of my coaching clients — let’s call her Lisa — came to me on the verge of burnout. She’d hit every production goal in her office but felt empty.

“I’m checking all the boxes, Rosemary,” she said, “but I don’t even know what I want anymore.”

We spent one afternoon creating her vision map:

• How she wanted her days to feel.
• What kind of clients lit her up.
• How much time she wanted with her family.
• Where she wanted to live.
• What kind of income supported the lifestyle she truly loved.

Within 90 days, Lisa had cut her work hours by 25%, doubled her joy factor, and still grew her business — because she finally had clarity.

A clear vision doesn’t just tell the universe what you want — it tells you what to say yes and no to.

Try This:

1. Name Your Destination.
Imagine it’s a year from now and everything’s gone beautifully. What does your day look like? Who’s with you? How do you feel when you wake up?

2. Write It Like It’s Real.
Grab your journal and describe it in present tense: “I am living in…” “I am feeling…” “I am enjoying…”

3. Keep It Visible.
Post your vision somewhere you’ll see it daily — on your mirror, your phone wallpaper, your desktop background.

What’s Your Destination?

If you wouldn’t drive to a new listing without putting the address in your GPS, stop navigating your life without one.

Your vision isn’t a fantasy — it’s your future waiting for your permission to begin.

And that’s exactly what we’ll be doing together at my Free Online Vision Workshop on November 22nd.

This isn’t another lecture or motivational pep talk — it’s an interactive, inspiring, and fun experience where you’ll:

• Get crystal clear on what you really want (not just what feels realistic
• Build your personal roadmap for 2026
• Learn how to replace confusion with clarity and momentum
• Connect with other amazing professionals who are designing their next chapter, too

You’ll leave with a renewed sense of purpose, a clear destination, and a practical plan to get there — so 2026 doesn’t just happen to you, it happens through you.

Because “winging it” might work for weekend brunch plans — but not for your one precious life.

Join me for the Vision Workshop on November 22nd, and let’s design a life that feels as good as your next beach vacation. Get the details here.
